Forestry Distributing's insect repellents use pheromones like verbenone and MCH and visual signals along with other natural means to communicate specific chemical and visual "messages" to unwanted insects.

Many insects communicate using pheromones, and they can be used to communicate many different messages to insects. Our pheromone repellents signal to arriving insects that they should look elsewhere for a suitable host.

Pheromones have been used as part of integrated pest management programs (IPMs) for more than a decade. Verbenone and MCH are used extensively in the battle against bark beetles, and many studies show that areas treated with insect pheromones as part of an IPM program fare significantly better than those that are not.

Many insects like wasps are very territorial and will not enter another competing insect's space. Forestry Distributing has visual insect "scarecrows" that successfully keep these potentially dangerous insects safely away.
