Pentra-Bark Penetrating Surfactant, Quest

Pentra-Bark Surfactant is a unique surfactant application for treatment of trees and plants. Pentra-Bark Surfactant has been specifically designed for use on herbaceous woody plant surfaces with fungicides, insecticides, plant growth regulators and micro-nutrients.

Pentra-Bark for the basal bark application of Pesticides on deciduous plants. Pentra-Bark Surfactant is a wetting agent, designed for improving penetration through bark or water based basal applications.

All woody plants have microscopic openings in the exterior protective bark periderm layer called lenticels. These lenticels are functionally used for plant transpiration and pressure regulation. Lenticels connect directly to the plant’s annual spiral openings or vascular metabolic transport system contained in the plant’s cambial phelloderm. When Pentra-Bark Surfactant is applied to the woody bark periderm in combination with systemic pesticides it opens the lenticels and enables movement through the lenticels into the plant’s vascular transport system.

APPLICATION:

Pentra-Bark Surfactant should be used at 1% of spray volume solution or 3 oz. per gallon of spray solution.

Recommended Application Rates:

3 oz Pentra-Bark surfactant / gal.

 Note: Apply solution until saturation run-off occurs (DBH= diameter measured at 4.5 feet from ground level) Rough Bark trees require more solution for treatment.
